I didn't draw as much as I should have on saturday, but I did go to central park and didn't break any bones on my skateboard.
Here is one sketc at the fountain. I decided to color it later on with the photoshop. It was evening and I couldn't convey it without color. I suppose I could have taken watercolor or markers. Anyway, soon I'll post the Great Lawn drawing on the internets.

Superman could have been an awesome cameraman

I was watching a 3D animated rollercoaster simulation on youtube last night. It was one of those “we are going to fly the camera up and around and through everything” shots. That’s seems to be what people like to do with their Maya or their Studio Max. I was thinking…could there be a way to get a crazy motion shot like that in real life? Like some kind of personal flying device that would allow for the camera operator to still focus on the shot? Then I thought about Superman. Superman could have been the greatest action DP that ever lived had he applied himself. I mean yeah there’s the saving Lois Lane and the world thing. He could have easily been a better reporter than her if he had had the news camera with him. Then again that might put Jimmy out of work. Ok back to Director of Photography. He could have been awesome.
