Tour de Ice Cream

Yesterday Tricia and I biked almost 22 miles according to the google mile thingy. Oh yes I have to get ready for my bike trip. I hear there is a bike path on the eastside from Wall street to 14th. I think we will have to find this. I wonder if there is a path that will run up the east river to Harlem.

Click it gets bigger:)

n o spelledcheck

I'm about to leave for Wichita then to Memphis, then to NY.

Yesterday I drove 3 hours (back from Lawrence) in 110 degree heat without an air conditioner. I looked like an idiot when I couldn't figure out how to open the car hood and ad more oil and coolent something. I haven't had a car since I was 18 and I never did maintenance.

I went up to Lawrence to see my friend Bobbie who I haven't see in 6 years. Her husband was pretty cool and fix an awesome dinner. Afterwards we drove around KU campus and then to a little coffee shop. Lawrence is nice. When we walked in the coffee shop...something about the counter felt familiar. I ask Bobbie what the place was called. she said, "Java." I said, "Java Break?!?" I completely forgot about Java Break and all the crazy stories that Tricia told me until that momment. (Tricia worked at this Coffee shop during the 6 months she went back to Kansas). I had to re-imagine the stories into this place becuase it was a little different in my head. In a way it was like the Grassy Nole.

Would write more but I have to leave now.

Mon Petit Valise

My secret escape plan might as well be exposed. I was going to run away to France. Actually maybe I still can...

Tricia spent the night last night. Today, we went to the antique store where I found a beautiful little suitcase. It looks just big enough to hold my new 12" computer. OR it could carry a skirt and two t-shirts (socks and underwear of course).

I can see myself and my suitcase spinning circles, arms fully extended pulling on the ivory handle. Pivoting with joy. The Eiffel Tower behind me on a partly cloudy day. There’s a slight breeze, just enough to make my hair part to the side without any effort. Yes, I think this is my dream for my little suitcase and me.

After the Antique store I went to the dentist. 4 tiny tiny cavities! I felt so a bad. I haven’t had A Cavity since I was 12. I felt like I did something very bad. The visit was $115. To fix the cavities will be about $500. My dentist said it would probably be okay to wait 6 months (since I’m leaving in 4 days). NO, I need that money to run away like how my cute little brown suitcase wants me to.

Kansas can still scare the hell out of me. I mean the idea that it would be so easy to get stuck here. Teniel told me that I am her only friend without kids.

I hate Wichita- ugly city. I got lost in Ark City yesterday looking for blockbuster.I rode 7 miles on my mom's bike, plus ran 1 mile. My only real workout in 2 weeks. Oh and fat girls in a car made fun of my "wheels." Fuck Ark City.
