16bit style kitty

This is based a friend's photo of her cat. Pretty much a trace, but tried to render more pixels and colors.

My first attempt.

I tried to simplify it.

...but today is the anniversary of Super Mario Bros. which is 26 yrs old. His first gig was that dude in Donky Kong.

My drawing isn't terribly original, but I wanted to draw Mario by hand and on graph paper, which is how the old games where animated. So here's my tribute.
