Yay. I made it. I got totally lost yesterday. I took a train to the metro and walked from the Colosseo back to the main train station where my Hotel was hiding the whole time.

At the moment I'm trying to pretend to not notice the maid in traditional black and white uniform cleaning my room. Can I just leave? I mean the door is open and she seems really busy. I don't think I have to worry about my stuff here. Plus its awkward that I just watched her push the two twin beds together. oh wait i have to use the bathroom. oh no. am I supposed to tip? I don't know but if I do I should do that at the end of the stay and not now yes? Ok she can see that I'm drying my socks on the window sill and my jacket on the window door. wow this is really thorough. She is now vacuuming the wood floor. This place looks pretty nice.

Rome

I leave for Rome today. The marathon is this Sunday,

I know there are tons of things I haven't done. My brain becomes so scattered when have to pack. Last night I packed my new travel backpack to it fullest capacity . This morning I realized it was way way too heavy. So I had to weed out somethings. I think it's still too heavy.

I still need an electrical adapter from duane reade, AA batteries for my discman (Yes I said discman), Deposit money in the bank, arch supports (just incase). I can't buy a new battery for my camera and I don't think my phone will work. I figured that was ok but I am going to Rome with a big team and they might need to get a hold of me. So I thought i should find out about texting. I could not tell if I was speaking to a real person or a personable computer. The part "most people do" sounded like a computer to me.

I think I can get by ok without a cel phone. I mean people did it all the time 10 years ago and they were still about to meet people at places at certain times.

Great news is that normally the admission price is $10 before midnight and $15 after midnight but the owner said we could have $10 admission all night since it's a fundraiser. But you must say you are with Christi's Team in Training Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Fundraiser so that $5 will toward the fund. I'm sure part of that or Cancer Fundraiser will do.
